Petrochemical
PT. Indo Riau Perkasa
Equipment and construction in the Chemical & Petrochemical industry includes processes with the participation of aggressive substances occurring on metal equipment at temperatures from -196 C to + 1400 C and vacuum pressures up to 1000 bar. The Chemical & Petrochemical industry is a high hazard industry with flam mable and exploasive media. Our product range can provide comprehensive protection with Cold w ork technology. The cases we handle in this industry include Chemical Tank & Vessel linning, Containment Area, CUI Prevention, Tank Base Sealing, Heat Exchanger Repair, Engineering Com posite Repair, etc.
Our History Case
Composite Repair High Temp for Elbow Pipe 30"
The issue of Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) is often caused by a steam trap located on the back of the elbow. If cracking occurs internally, it can disrupt the operation of the owner’s facility. The operating temperature of the 30-inch elbow pipe is 173°C. The presence of acid, combined with stress from operating temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C), can lead to chloride contamination, potentially originating from the insulation material itself. To mitigate the risk of SCC, PT IRP recommends applying composite wrapping as a preventive measure.
Concrete Repair and Protection WTP Area
The concrete flooring in the sampling area, frequently exposed to chemical substances, has suffered damage to its structure, including reinforcement. In addition to requiring chemical protection, the client expects a coating system that offers long-term durability and can withstand heavy traffic from machinery, worker activity, and heavy objects that may pose a risk to the coating system.
To resolve the issues faced by the asset owners, the IRP team began by repairing the damaged concrete areas. Subsequently, all zones susceptible to chemical spills and external impacts were protected using Resimac 511 Ultra Chemical Resistance and FRP Discontinue (CSM 300 GSM) specialized coatings.
Protection for oil tank by FRP lining
To Resolve the issue of internal corrosion in the oil tank and separator plate faced by the owners, the IRP team began by repairing perforated and thinned metal surfaces using Resimac 101. Subsequently, the entire oil tank area exposed to chemical spills and external impacts was protected with Resimac 512 90 Ultra Chemical Resistance and Fiber Reinforced Discontinue (CSM 300 GSM), applied in two layers.
For the oil tank cover, Resimac 512 90 UCEN was applied with a thickness of 2×500 microns to protect against the highly corrosive oil tank vapor.
